Dolly, The Show. Dolly Parton is a legend. An award winning singer, composer, musician, actress and author, in this show we celebrate the music that made her the world icon she is today.

The British Country Music Awards & Hall Of Fame was set up by British publication Cross Country, after they felt there was no formal recognition of the talent, devotion, skill and belief in the grassroots of British Country music.

Following the demise of the Radio Awards it was decided that British Country Music fans should have their say on who they think is the best during the year and so filling a void in the Country Music Calendar.

The first awards were presented in September 2008 with winners and supporters turning out in force to celebrate the occasion. The Awards are now open to anyone who is involved in Country Music and each year they start from a level playing field.

The final five nominees for 2009 were announced in May and the public have been voting in their 1,000’s. The closing date has now passed and votes are being counted culminating in an awards ceremony at Fort San Antone, Great Birchwood Country Park, Warton on the weekend of 18th September.

The British Country Music Hall of Fame is a museum based at Great Birchwood Country Park, housing memories and exhibits. The Hall Of Fame was started in 2006 with the first ceremony held in 2007.
